The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) is the apex sporting body which controls all the sports in Asia. It is one of the five continental associations recognized by the IOC.

The OCA was formed in 1982 and has its permanent headquarters in Kuwait. The main objective of the OCA is to develop sport, culture and education of Asian youth as well as to promote international respect, friendship, goodwill & peace through sports. The permanent headquarters of the OCA is in Kuwait. Mr. Husain Al-Musallam, Director General of the Executive Work at the headquarters and runs all NOC and international affairs under the direct guidance of the OCA President. He is assisted by a work force of various nationalities.

In April 2016 the candidature of Mr. Timur Kulibayev President of Kazakhstan National Olympic Committee (NOC) was unanimously approved to the position of OCA Vice-President from Central Asia region.
